The windmill is designed to supply electricity to the facilities within the Museum and, concurrently, to the process of grain milling. The brick cylinder-shaped building has a diameter of 3.9 m and is 4.2 m high, and is built on stone foundations and plastered with mud plaster with an admixture of horse and cow dung, which was coated with a mixture of flour mash, clay and sand, and finally painted with lime mixed with cottage cheese and linseed oil to make it weather-resistant. The roof is conic-shaped, covered with shingles. The roof turbine originally served in a small windmill in Tošanovice near Frýdek-Místek; it was supplemented with equipment to put the turbine to operation. The milling part is completely assembled from preserved parts and is capable of milling grain.
