The baroque church Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Hejnice is an important pilgrimage point. To the most important cities in the region belong Liberec and Jablonec nad Nisou. There are many mountain resorts there, for example Janov nad Nisou, Albrechtice v Jizerských horách and Kořenov near the Giant Mountains.
