Ondřej Stelzig`s smithy, Dolní Řasnice

This rebellious smith led the peasants' rebellion against the landlords of Frýdlant from 1679 to 1687 and even set off to Vienna to interpret subjects' requirements to the Emperor. He was eventually arrested and sentenced to death, but his sentence was later reduced to exile. The life of this smith of Řasnice is depicted in the Iron Crown by Václav Kaplický. The original smithy has been replaced with a later building which houses an exposition of the smith's trade and history of the region.
