The Functionalist rectangular five-storey building of the town hall is situated in the main and oldest square in Jablonec.
Its construction took place from 1931 to 1933 according to a design by Prof. Ing. arch. K. Winter. The decision to build a new town hall resulted from the need to replace the old hall with a building that would suit the local authorities better while enhancing the architecture of the centre of town. Therefore, from the very beginning the new town hall was conceived as a cultural centre with restaurants and a cinema. The tower of the town hall offering a panoramic view of the town is accessible in the summer. Location: Mírové náměstí

The Jablonec town hall tower will be closed to tourists this year as it is due to undergo extensive reconstruction!
Extensive repairs will be made to the tower’s façade and interior and the windows will be replaced. The repairs will be paid for from the program for the regeneration of the town’s heritage zone. The town hall has already awarded the grant. The construction work on the town hall will take place from 15th May to the end of this year.
