Mlýnická Dam

The water reservoir named Mlýnice was built at the border between Mníšek and Nová Ves in 1906.
The area of the reservoir is 250,000 m3, size 7 hectares, dyke length 195 m and dyke height 21.5 m. The dam and several other reservoirs were developed after a series of catastrophic floods during the 1846 - 1888 period. The purpose of the reservoirs was to ensure flood protection and improve the water flow during dry seasons.
